The problem stopped. While we have a lead to the root-cause, we are still analyzing. For now, we have narrowed it down to inconsistencies with DNS resolution either on Google side or DHL side. More investigation continues to understand why it happened in the first place, how did it get resolved and how to avoid it. We keep a high-priority ticket open directly with Google until we have those answers.
The problem is still under investigation. Multiple BUs and multiple services impacted.
For DGF the impact is mainly for Shipment Bookings. However, normally the applications are doing automated resubmit in case the negative response from API GW received.
Currently Google Apigee support and ITS Network team are troubleshooting.
About 20-30% of the API requests to EIP REST API servers are dropped since 21. Aug 3PM GMT. Mainly (but not only) Shipment Bookings impacted. Currently investigating with network team.
